Copper Chimney - North Indian Restaurant in Whitefield, Bangalore

"It was my first visit to Copper Chimney, something I’d been meaning to try for a while. The opportunity finally came last Saturday. The restaurant was buzzing with energy, thanks to a Dandiya night event organized by Phoenix Marketcity. We were served by Uttham and Somnath, both of whom were courteous and attentive throughout. For food, we ordered the mutton biriyani and a chicken starter —something like a hariyali kebab. We were also recommended a pineapple-based mocktail, which turned out to be a highlight of the evening. The biriyani was excellent. The meat was tender, well-cooked, and flavorful without being overpowering. It had the kind of balance you hope for but rarely get — aromatic rice, juicy mutton, and just the right amount of spice. I genuinely enjoyed it. The hariyali kebab dish, on the other hand, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t suit my palate. What stood out was the service. Uttham came over and asked how the dishes were. When I mentioned that the starter wasn’t to my liking, he immediately offered to bring another starter of my choice — completely on the house. That gesture floored me. In most places, if you say something’s not great, the staff either ignore it or disappear. But here, the response was proactive, generous, and respectful. It’s rare to see that kind of hospitality, and it made a lasting impression. The pineapple mocktail was sensational — refreshing, well-balanced, and a perfect complement to the biriyani. It’s something I’d recommend without hesitation. We wrapped up the meal with a rabdi dessert, which was rich, creamy, and satisfying. A solid finish to a memorable evening. Between the festive atmosphere, the excellent biriyani, the standout mocktail, and the exceptional service — especially from Uttham — this visit to Copper Chimney was more than just a meal. It was an experience. And frankly, if restaurants want to justify a service charge, this is the kind of service that earns it. I don’t think I’ll be paying service charges elsewhere unless they match this level of care and hospitality."

"Amazing food! Just so delicious and sumptuous! Ordered veg biryani, chicken makhni, naan. The service was amazing, the staff is polite and Partha is always around to help you. He was helpful with the menu and explained everything about the choices. The food was customized to reduce the amount of spice! Great outlet to enjoy a lavish lunch. I was hoping for the buffet, but I was told they serve that mod-fri only. Well, I guess that means I need to drop by in one of those days of the week."

"Let me start by appreciating my server Mr. Bablu Kumar for a great service on 04 Aug 2025. All the staff from table managers to servers were very well trained and courteous. Meaning they took great care without being seen hovering around the customers. The decor or interiors are very beautiful. Music was at a comfortable volume level. It has a relaxed feeling and definitely not a loud place by decor or sound. You will notice that it attracts office groups very frequently. They have a buffet option also from time to time, you can check. It is a fully family friendly restaurant. It naturally does not attract non family friendly crowd. Food wise, it is one of the few places in Bangalore that is truly North Indian from menu selection to the actual recipes. It is a bit pricey but not hugely expensive. Given that it is in a mall and so some extra charges are expected for the humongous Bangalore commercial rents. And it is definitely not a place where you might feel cheated as most "North Indian restaurant" in Bangalore (mostly malls) are where they charge a bomb but do not taste worthy of consumption or North Indian. Now the main point. The food or the taste is authentic North Indian, like Delhi, Punjab and those kinds of areas. The menu is well selected and those selected items are prepared very expertly. Had a chicken starter, Rawalpindi gosht with Tandoori roti, naan and masala roti along with a cucumber mocktail, all for 2 people. Every dish was great. Special mention to the Rawalpindi gosht and the mocktail. The rotis and naans were perfect in taste. The portion size is good and enough. I have had their buffet also some years back on a different occasion. Had Biryani and many other items. Then also it was a great experience. I never had a heavy feeling after so much eating here, so we can say from the oil to the other ingredients and the way it is cooked, it is very high standards in hygiene and cooking practices, like not overusing used cooking oil. The mocktails you should try for their innovative recipes and they taste great. Special mention to the green chutney which was very innovative with coriander, cucumber, curd with other spices. Although it is given as an accompaniment, the innovation and taste tells the care the chefs or cooks take here. I have been in this place over 15 years more or less but it has maintained its standards. Consider this place for special occasions. They do have offers for corporate groups or group bookings, please check with them. Lastly, on weekends and holidays it can be crowded, so plan accordingly. It is quite popular and a well known fine dining restaurant."
