"I recently visited Thamaq and tried two of their well-known dishes: the Thamaq Special Alfam and the Porota. Both dishes were impressive and showed the effort the kitchen puts into delivering good food. The Alfam, in particular, really stood out to me. It had a varied and layered flavor that kept every bite interesting. The spices were balanced well, and the overall taste was unique compared to what I have had elsewhere. We genuinely enjoyed it and felt it was worth recommending to others. The Porota was also fresh, soft, and paired perfectly with the Alfam, making the combination quite enjoyable. However, as much as I appreciated the food, I cannot ignore the issue of customer service. Unfortunately, the service during my visit was far from satisfactory. It felt unprofessional and inattentive, leaving a negative impression overall. In fact, I would say the service was completely terrible, which is disappointing because it took away from an otherwise good dining experience. That being said, I believe Thamaq has real potential to stand out as an excellent restaurant. If the management focuses on improving the customer service to match the high quality of the food, the overall experience would be outstanding. I hope this feedback is taken into account."

"The overall customer service needs a lot of improvement. Many ppl have also made similar reviews on staff behaviour. The attitude from the staff makes you leave the restaurant. The food is well average and the ambience is alright but there’s always a fish smell all over the restaurant since they’ve kept a freezer full of fish right at the entrance..."

"After visiting the Thamaq restaurant in Yelahanka after their advise we visited here too. It's quite big restaurant with good number of tables to accommodate 60-80 people at a time and also there is parking space. It's a restuarant which service kerala, arabic & Chinese cuisine. We tried kerala porota, ceylon porota, roti , Alfam, shawarma and veg gravy. All the items were exceptionally well cooked with great taste. They service juices, milk shakes , ice cream , and hot beverages like tea or coffee with oil fried snacks. There is a pan shop near by tea counter which is a must try as well. Good place to visit with family & friends to enjoy good food."

"We had a wonderful dine-in experience at Thamaq. Right from the start, everything—from the ambience to the service—was impressive. The staff was courteous and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. For starters, we ordered the Chicken Malai Tikka (personally recommend), and it was absolutely delicious—tender, creamy, and perfectly cooked. I would rate it a solid 5/5. In fact, we loved it so much that we ordered it again after finishing our main course! Coming to the main course, we had butter rotis and naan served with Chicken Tikka Masala and Angara Chicken. The Chicken Tikka Masala was the highlight—rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and incredibly satisfying. Another 5/5 for that dish. The Angara Chicken, while decent, didn’t quite match up in terms of flavor and texture compared to the rest of the meal, so I’d rate it a 3/5. Overall, it was a really good dining experience. The food quality, presentation, and atmosphere all came together nicely. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great North Indian food, Thamaq is definitely worth trying. I would happily rate the overall experience 4.5 out of 5. Will definitely be visiting again!"

"Thamaq Restaurant, Bagalur Cross – A Must-Try Dining Experience We recently visited Thamaq Restaurant at Bagalur Cross and had a truly satisfying experience. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Prawn Ghee Roast – it was rich, flavorful, and came in a generous portion size that could easily serve three people. The Sea Bass Fish Fry was another winner, cooked perfectly with the right balance of spices and texture, making it a dish worth repeating. The Thamaq Special Alfaham was absolutely superb – juicy, tender, and packed with flavors that hit all the right notes. We paired it with Appam, Ghee Rice, and Kerala Parota, all of which were cooked well and complemented the main dishes beautifully. For desserts, the Gulab Jamun was decent, but the Coconut Pudding was a true standout – light, refreshing, and a perfect way to end the meal on a sweet note. The ambience of the restaurant was decent, comfortable enough for a relaxed meal with friends or family. What really made the evening special was the excellent service. Mr. Mustaq, in particular, was extremely helpful, guiding us with recommendations that turned out to be spot on. Overall, Thamaq is a great place for seafood and Kerala-style dishes, and I highly recommend it."

"The quality pf food has been consistently going down. Once I went to have biriyani and was disappointed to get charred chicken and rice very dry as it i was left out for along time. Further, I ordered alfahm online and it came completely charred and very bitter tasting. When I did dine in I had bad experience with servers as well. Overall, not a good place..."

"They hired goons in the form of gate guards. Their guard beat me just because I parked my bike in their premises for 10 minutes when I came there for morning tea. They even damaged the handle and stand of my new Royal Enfield bike. They abused me because I am a Hindi-speaking person, and one of them hit me with an iron rod."
