"My Worst Experience with Kangaroo Care Hospital - Vijaynagar. I had my pregnancy checkups and scans at Kangaroo Care Hospital. Later in my pregnancy, my baby was diagnosed with brain abnormalities. The hospital asked me to come back after two weeks for a follow-up. Meanwhile, I got another scan done outside, which confirmed severe brain issues — but at Kangaroo Care, they still said everything was normal. It was shocking and extremely disappointing that such a serious condition was missed by their radiologist. After that, I had to go through an MTP (medical termination), and that's when things got even worse. The hospital administration was very unorganized — I was made to wait for hours just to get a room. After the MTP, I was told that some tissue was left behind and I needed a D&C. For the D&C, I was asked to get admitted by 7:00 AM for a 10:30 AM procedure, but it was finally done only around 11:30 AM. Despite informing them two days earlier about needing a room, I was not allocated one for several hours. I was kept in the SICU, still in the OT dress, bleeding heavily and feeling extremely uncomfortable. Even when I requested a sanitary pad, I was told to wait 'just 15 minutes' since I'd be shifted soon — but that wait went on till 5:00 PM. The most unacceptable part was being billed for a room that was never provided. They claimed I stayed in the SICU — which is even more expensive — even though we never requested it. As if that wasn't enough, during a routine check-up after the D&C, we handed over some documents to the hospital staff as requested, and they misplaced a few of our important bills that we needed for insurance. When we asked about it, we received no proper response, and it prevented us from claiming insurance. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. The nurses here seriously lack basic work etiquette. Working in a hospital requires empathy and sensitivity — especially when dealing with patients going through something as emotionally painful as pregnancy loss. The way I was treated has left me deeply traumatized — even hearing the words 'hospital' or 'scan' brings back painful memories. Losing a baby is heartbreaking, but the way this hospital handled everything made it so much worse. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before choosing this hospital. Compassion, care, and professionalism are the least that patients deserve — and unfortunately, all of that was missing here."

"We've been taking our baby to Kangaroo Care Hospital for the past 2.5 years and have generally been satisfied with the care provided. The doctors and staff have been supportive and attentive to our child's needs. However, our recent experience with requesting a medical examination certificate has left us disappointed. We were asked to pay Rs. 650 solely for the certificate, which seems excessive considering our long-standing relationship with the hospital. This additional charge feels like a commercialization of a service that should be part of the overall care. We hope the hospital will reconsider their policy and provide more patient-centric services."
